A Noble Evening in the Garden” – Preview Gala event

The exclusive preview gala for the 50th annual Indiana Flower & Patio Show, “A Noble Evening in the Garden” will be held Friday, March 7th , 2008, from 7:00pm-11:00pm. This elegant garden party features food and drink from over 30 of Central Indiana 's finest establishments. It is held in the beautifully landscaped showcase gardens of the Indiana Flower & Patio Show! This incredible evening includes silent and live auctions a well as Nationally known, local artist Nancy Noel who will be the 2008 Noble Evening in the Garden featured artist!

The VIP Private reception takes place one hour before the gala begins - 6:00 - 7:00 pm. Wine and dine with the special celebrity guest while having the opportunity to preview the beautifully landscaped gardens and fantastic silent auction items!

Event tickets: $100 each

INDIANA FLOWER AND PATIO SHOW EXHIBITORS ROLL OUT THE RED CARPET FOR YOU…

Besides the fabulous gardens at the Indiana Flower and Patio Show, we have over 400 exhibitors that are anxious to educate, invigorate, and motivate you with their products and services to improve your finer outdoor living.  Walk out with something green from one of several nurseries and garden centers.  Bring you truck to load up a marble bench, stone fountain, beautiful fire pit and torches.  Learn about horticultural, arborculture, and how to eliminate that pesky emerald ash borer, Japanese beetles, moles, geese, and more!  We have outdoor furnishings from teak to granite and everywhere in between. If you already have a great yard…illuminate it, maintain it, play in it, plant it, and look at it through new windows.  There is just so much to offer…and while you’re there don’t forget to sample some dips, oils, and chocolates too.  If your feet get tired we’ve got Crocs, Glagla, and Z-Coils, oh my!  Wow…get your tickets now!!


Brides-to-be will want to stop by Super Bride Sunday presented by the 50th annual Indiana Flower & Patio Show.  Super Bride Sunday, an exhibition of outstanding wedding products and services, takes place Sunday, March 16 from 10 am to 4 pm in the Indiana State Fairgrounds’ Old National Bank Grand Hall (located just north of the West Pavilion).  General admission is $8; a combination ticket for Super Bride Sunday and the Flower & Patio Show, good on March 16 only, is $15, available at the door of either show. Treasures of King Tut" Exhibit.   This exclusive exhibition will be on display March 14 - 16.  For over 20 years, The Egyptian Art Center has been producing magnificent replicas of treasures entombed with King Tutankhamun.  The exhibit will feature 250 museum quality replicas of the infamous boy-king and his treasures, giving guests a glimpse into the Golden Age of the Pharaohs. The 3rd annual American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD) Floral Design Competition.  Eight AIFD-certified designers will showcase their most extravagant and creative designs to a famous movie theme.
Guests will vote throughout the show for their favorite
floral design, with the “People’s Choice Award”
announced on Sunday, March 16 at 4 pm.  The winning AIFD designer receives a crystal trophy and $1000.

This years entrants are:

3)  Kim Wood, Indianapolis   "Lion King"

6)  Paul Wehr, Huntingburg   "Wizard of Oz"
7)  Greg Wright, Evansville     "Jailhouse Rock"


The 4th annual Belgard Challenge, in which three landscape designers compete for top honors by creating a fabulous garden in the price
range of $25,000 installed.  The gardens showcase Belgard hardscapes and other popular elements such as water and fire features, arbors, trellises, and plantscapes. Those landscape designers are: 
McCune Inc.,
Spartan Landscaping
and Fiano Lawn & Landscaping.

Marsh Day at the 50th anniversary Indiana Flower & Patio Show

Tuesday, March 11th is Marsh Day at the show!!  Check your Marsh or O’Malia receipt for an exclusive buy one show ticket, get one show ticket free offer…bring that receipt to the show box office to receive this special offer!!  No other discounts apply.

The ever-popular Crumplex presented by Greendell Mulch & Mix, featuring daily presentations by Dick “Dr. Dirt” Crum, “Mr. Fit-It” Pat Sullivan, floral designers, and other garden and outdoor living experts.  The Crumplex. located near the west end of the Expo Hall, will be incorporated into the garden created by Boram Lawn & Landscape, Noblesville. Fresh and fabulous cut flowers sold from the JP Parker booth in the West Pavilion – a much-anticipated annual feature that enables guests to take a little bit of spring home from the show.
