A Spring Time Tradition: The Indiana Flower & Patio Show -- Indiana’s most spectacular and honored finer outdoor living show opens its doors to gardening enthusiasts March 13 for nine days at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. The 52nd annual Indiana Flower & Patio Show, a Central Indiana springtime tradition, will feature 29 dazzling Showcase Gardens, more than 250 finer outdoor living experts, displays encompassing the latest and greatest in landscaping trends, and dozens of educational programs – all in over 171,000 square feet of the State Fairgrounds’ West Pavilion. The theme of this year’s extravaganza is “A Novel Idea.” Each of the 29 Showcase Gardens is themed after a favorite book, from the classics to newer releases to a title written and published by one of the landscape artists! Guests will find only the premiere finer outdoor living exhibitors at the show, says Donell Heberer Walton, executive director of HSI Show Productions, Inc., the locally owned-and-operated producer of the Indiana Flower & Patio Show, renowned nationally as among the finest in its field. “Last year, after several years of extensive customer research, we ‘pruned’ our show to give our visitors exactly what they wanted – only the top exhibitors in finer outdoor living,” Heberer Walton said. “We may have pruned the show, but there are actually more gardens. “The response was tremendous,” she continued. “People loved this more precise approach, so we are following the same plan at this 52nd annual edition.” One constant, however, is the gardens - 29 breathtaking gardens designed by the area’s leading landscape artists. “Without a doubt, our 29 Showcase Gardens, and their designers, are the stars of our show!” Heberer Walton exclaimed. “Every year, I think they’ll never be able to top what they’ve created – then next year rolls around, and are more spectacular than ever !” |
