Designers face off in popular Belgard Challenge

INDIANAPOLIS -- The sixth annual Belgard Challenge, one of the Indiana Flower & Patio Show’s most popular attractions, again pits three Central Indiana landscape designers against one another as they vie to create the most fabulous garden within a price range of $25,000 installed.

The 2010 competitors are all rookies, going head-to-head for the first time. Designers include:

• Outdoor Oasis of Nineveh
• Seibert Landscaping, Indianapolis and
• Nature’s Choice Landscaping, Brownsburg.

The rules are simple: each garden showcases Belgard hardscapes and other popular elements such as water and fire features, arbors, trellises, and plantscapes. And the cost per garden must not exceed $25,000 installed.

Showgoers love the Belgard Challenge because they choose the winner through on-site voting.

Indiana Flower & Patio Show executive director Donell Heberer Walton notes that “the Belgard Challenge has a history of ‘grooming’ our great landscapers.
