With a product line on QVC, Linda has been featured in numerous national magazines, news segments and videos. She is also the author of “The Elegant and Edible Garden.” In this book, Linda shares her vision for creating a garden space where food and flowers grow side by side. Known as a potager, these gardens are formal in their framework yet flexible and personal in their edible yields. A potager garden is both lovely to look at and productive. Doubling as an outdoor living area, it is also the perfect place to entertain family and friends.

“The Elegant and Edible Garden” is a vision of the very best things a garden can offer — food, beauty, connection and a place to breathe. A plant fanatic, Linda’s favorites are evergreens and topiaries. And her tip for making a big impact in landscaping or curb appeal is to go big!

“Go big in the containers you use,” she said. “Make a statement by using various sizes and mixing them throughout your landscape. They provide dimension and allow flexibility for what you can plant — trees, shrubs and more. Larger containers can also handle the stressors of heat and cold, and you don’t have to water as much!”

Linda looks at everything — her home, family, travel and life’s biggest questions — through a gardening lens. Gardening has helped her raise two boys, be a better friend and neighbor, learn resilience, and, at times, saved her sanity. She often says gardening is simultaneously one of the most joyous and frustrating things she does.

Join Linda Vater on this great adventure that is gardening! She appears at the Flower + Patio Show on Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17.
